Inauguration of Climate Resilient Schools Program at Sahitya School, Bangalore

In a momentous occasion that marked a significant step towards sustainable education and environmental consciousness, the President of the 41 Clubs of India inaugurated the Climate Smart Schools Program at Sahitya School in Bangalore. The event, held at the school premises, brought together students and teachers to witness the commencement of a program aimed at fostering climate awareness and responsibility among the children.

The inauguration ceremony began with a warm welcome extended to the esteemed chief guest, the President of the 41 Clubs of India, whose commitment to environmental causes and education has been widely recognized. In a symbolic gesture of hope and commitment, the inauguration of the Climate Resilient Schools program was marked by the ceremonial lighting of a lamp.

The program commenced with an invocation that set a positive and environmentally conscious tone for the event. The school’s principal, in his opening remarks, expressed gratitude for the support received from the 41 Clubs of India and emphasized the importance of integrating climate-smart practices into the school’s curriculum.

The President of the 41 Clubs of India then took the stage, addressing the gathering with a powerful speech on the urgency of addressing climate change and the role of educational institutions in shaping a sustainable future. The president underscored the need for collaborative efforts between schools, communities, and organizations to create a holistic approach towards climate education.

Following the insightful address, he answered the questions that came from the students. Officially inaugurating the Climate Smart Schools Program at Sahitya School. The president, along with the school principal visited the Weather Station set up supported by 41 Clubst of India symbolizing the commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.

A tour of the school’s newly implemented eco-friendly initiatives was organized, showcasing features such as weather station, android television to view data, class room set up with gardens, greening initiatives around the school etc . Students actively participated and demonstrated their eagerness to contribute to a greener future.

The inauguration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the School’s Managing Director Mr Ravi expressing gratitude to the President of the 41 Clubs of India, Ripples of Change Foundation all those involved in making the Climate Smart Schools Program a reality.
As the event came to a close, it left a lasting impression on all attendees, serving as a reminder of the collective responsibility to address climate change through education and sustainable practices.
